Who is Marie? The name comes
from a long family tradition. Original Deby
Marie (Phil's wife) is still active in the
operation and has proudly passed the name down
through her children and grandchildren.
Is there really an Uncle Moose?
Yes, all the names you see on the menu are
relatives of the Buerk family. Many are part of
the operation today. You may see one of them
bussing your table or serving your food.
Will you be opening a store even closer
to where I live?
With stores operating in Toledo, Columbus,
Dayton, and Cleveland areas, we
are always looking for opportunities and for
great restaurant locations.
Why are you only open from 6:30am to
3:00pm?
There are three reasons: First, operational
efficiency of one shift of staff every day
ensures maximum productivity and fresh, cheerful
service. Secondly, there are lifestyle benefits.
Being able to be home in time for dinner helps
us keep our great attitude and helps us attract
the sharpest staff available. Finally, because
we concentrate on ONLY what we do BEST
(breakfast and lunch), we proudly say, "our
breakfast is so good, we can leave dinner to
someone else."
